The Final Day: Time to go home - March 2025 entry 7

My last day in Singapore was all work—and it was exactly the kind of work that lights me up.

We locked in the store’s why, who, and what. It may sound simple, but it’s the heartbeat of any great business. Once that’s clear, everything else—**design, experience, product selection—**starts to fall into place.

Next stop? France, to explore products and take this vision even further.
This. Is. The. Dream. Job.

And how did I leave Singapore? Oh, just caught a ride with the company’s founder on her private jet to New York City.
Yes, a private. jet.
WHO THIS?!

But let’s not forget—I’m claustrophobic.
And this wasn’t a spacious commercial plane—it was a very sleek, very small luxury tube. Cue the quiet panic.

I took an Ativan and reminded myself, this is the life I never even dreamed of… and here I am, panicking in a leather seat with champagne on standby.

Work kicked in mid-flight, which helped distract me. And somewhere between 30,000 feet and a deep strategic conversation, I was introduced to the concept of Ikigai—a Japanese philosophy about discovering your purpose. It’s about aligning what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for.

It was so powerful, I wrote a blog about it. (You can check it out—it's life-changing.)

But here’s the honest truth:

As amazing as this entire adventure has been—the best part was coming home.

There’s something deeply grounding about stepping back into your own space, hugging the people you love, and feeling that quiet sense of peace that only home can bring. Also, My Charlie being so excited to see me is pretty fun!!

My heart is full, my mind is buzzing, and my suitcase is probably overweight—but I wouldn’t change a thing.
