Our Purity Promise

When I started making products, I had one rule that hasn't changed: I will not put anything in a bottle that I wouldn't put on my own body.

That sounds simple. But it actually changes everything — what you choose to include, what you refuse to use, how you package it, where your ingredients come from. It means constantly asking: does this belong here? Is this the best we can do?

That question became what we call our Purity Promise.

Pure ingredients. Nothing extra. No parabens, no phthalates, no sulfates, no fillers. Just what belongs.

That means every ingredient in every product earns its place. We use organic botanical extracts — aloe vera, calendula, chamomile, sage, oat, ginseng — because they actually do something for your skin. We use pure fragrance compounds chosen specifically for how they interact with the nervous system, not just how they smell. We use soy wax and cotton wicks in our candles because what burns in your home matters as much as what goes on your body.

What we don't use is just as intentional. No parabens. No phthalates. No sulfates. No artificial fillers padding out a formula to cut costs. Every product is made in small batches by hand in Lake Placid — which means we know exactly what goes into each one, because we make each one ourselves.

Clean starts with the ingredient and ends with the packaging. Most of our products are bottled in glass — because glass is endlessly recyclable, doesn't leach chemicals, and keeps the formula exactly as we made it. When we do use plastic, it's made from post-consumer recycled materials. We use biodegradable ingredients wherever possible, because what goes down the drain matters too.

This isn't something we do to check a box. It comes from growing up in the Adirondacks — six million acres of protected wilderness that New York State has promised to keep Forever Wild. When that's your backyard, you don't think of the environment as something separate from your products. It's the whole reason you're making them in the first place.

The Purity Promise is simple: respect for nature and all living things. Products made with clean, safe ingredients. Packaging produced with the least possible impact on the environment. A commitment to the interdependence between people and nature — without compromise.

We believe you shouldn't have to choose between something that works and something you trust. Something that feels luxurious and something that's safe. Something beautiful and something good.
